flydubai launches flights to Pisa and resumes operations to Catania

With the resumption of operations to Catania and the launch of flights to Pisa, flydubai is expanding its network in Italy

Flydubai has become the first carrier from the United Arab Emirates to operate flights to Pisa in Italy. Operations to Catania in Sicily will also resume shortly, bringing its network in Italy to three points, including Naples. Flights to Pisa International Airport (PSA) and Catania International Airport (CTA) begin June 24 with a three-time weekly service. Emirates will share its codes on these routes, providing travelers with smoother connections through Dubai’s international aviation hub.

Pisa will be a popular destination for travelers from the UAE and the GCC to experience the beauty of the Tuscan region. We have seen healthy growth in passenger numbers as more countries ease travel restrictions and travel demand returns to pre-pandemic levels. We look forward to a bumper summer as we continue to add new destinations to our network and increase flight frequency on some of our existing routes,” said Hamad Obaidalla, Chief Commercial Officer of flydubai.

Commenting on the launch of the flights, Jeyhun Efendi, Senior Vice President, Business Operations and eCommerce at flydubai, said: “flydubai’s new three times weekly service to Pisa, along with our operations to Catania and Naples, offer passengers The UAE and the region have more options for traveling to Europe this summer. Our passengers from Italy will be able to enjoy convenient and direct flights to Dubai throughout the year. Our flights will be operated by our fleet of Boeing 737 MAX aircraft which have a business class tray and additional comfort in economy class.
