Lorenzo Amico Obituary – Rochester Democrat And Chronicle
Webster – February 18, 2022. He is predeceased by his darling grandson, Lawrence, and younger brother Rosario.
Lorenzo’s greatest legacy will be the unending affection of Ida, his wife of 69 years, his children Linda (James Pepe), Michael (Nela) and Robert (Amy). He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Robert (Jennifer), Richard (Sarah), Michelle, Joseph, Rachel and Melissa. Great-grandchildren Luke, Michelle and Matilda will remember him through his character’s many memories. He also leaves his brother Liborio (Neluccia) as well as several nieces and nephews.
A beloved husband, father and friend. Born in Caltanissetta, Sicily, Lorenzo arrived in this country in 1950 and built a life faithful to the meaning of his name. Dedicated, hardworking and generous, his greatest pride stemmed from the accomplishments of his family. Quick with a joke and a remarkable smile, he was loved by everyone he met.
Friends may call the funeral home (1031 Ridge Road, Webster) from 3-8 p.m. Monday, February 21. A Christian Burial Mass will be held on Tuesday February 22 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church (43 Gephardt Road, Penfield). Burial in the cemetery of the Holy Sepulchre. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be directed to the St. Ann’s/Cherry Ridge community.
