Why I’m “done” with Jennifer Aydin for good

She’s “loyal and lovely” – but doesn’t dare call her a friend of Jennifer Aydin.

Dolores Catania exclusively tells Page Six that she’s “done” with her “Real Housewives of New Jersey” co-star for good because of the way Aydin treated her before the reunion.

“The way she talked about me was unwarranted,” Catania says.

Although the women largely got along while filming the latest episode of ‘RHONJ’, they began to feud from afar after Aydin called Catania a ‘moron’ in a February interview on ‘Housewives Nightcap’. Access Hollywood – just weeks after the premiere of season 12.

“I reached out to her off camera and tried to talk to her as a friend and she said, ‘I’ll see you at the meeting,'” she recalled. “It was a very pivotal moment for me to see that the person I’ve stood up for so much and been there for said to me, ‘I’ll see you at the meeting. “”

Catania, who joined “RHONJ” as a full-time “housewife” in season 7, says she fiercely defended Jennifer, who entered the fray in season 9, against all opponents – to both on and off camera.

“I’ve been a friend to you on the show since you’ve been on…I left you events. I supported you when you were indefensible, whether you were in front of me or not,” says Catania, 51. “And that’s how I’m treated.”

It was revealed during the first part of the ‘New Jersey’ reunion that Catania gave Jennifer, 45, a pep talk before telling her there was no need to cry over the affair. 10-year-old Bill revealed in the reality series.

Catania tells Page Six that she was disappointed that Jennifer didn’t step in before giving context to her seemingly cold comment.

“She should have stepped in and said, ‘Look, I asked her to be tough on me and I asked her to stop me from crying.’ I’m like, ‘Stop crying. Walk through this house with your head up and your shoulders back,’ Catania says of the tense scene filmed at her old townhouse.

“That’s what I told her, ‘Because you have a good marriage. It’s something you’ve been through and be proud of it. But that wasn’t the way she wanted to take it this season. “, she adds. “So, I didn’t realize it. Sorry.”
